MYAK and iGreen Gadgets: From Tibet to Made in Italy with the aim of Protecting Bees

A multi-sensory project that travels from one of the best known – and at the same time most remote – regions of Asia to the very Italian Piedmont, a region with a long and renowned textile tradition. It is a multifaceted story, which tells about Tibet but also about Made in Italy. All accompanied by ideas that are never the same as one another, and boxes designed to take us on a journey around the world, but also to raise awareness and give us food for thought. All this is Myak, a one-of-a-kind reality that used the iGreen Gadgets postcards in plantable paper for its fun and lively boxes!

Myak, discover their Tibetan Yak fibers!

Paola and Andrea, founders of Myak, discovered Tibetan fibers… by petting a baby Yak! Surprised by the softness of its coat, they focused their energies to create a sustainable reality in Tibet for animals and local populations, and to begin bringing this yarn with extraordinary properties to Italy. For the processing of the yarn, they chose an area in the proximity of the town of Biella, which has always been known for its textile tradition.

Today, Myak is an established reality, which bases its philosophy on products of the highest quality, designed to last over time, but also to offer customers something truly unique, which combines originality and artisanal quality. It is also a shared project, which can become a path to be followed together. In fact, Myak offers not only yarn kits, but also the possibility of joining the Kora Club project to discover more and more new yarns… and much more!

Kora Club: Myak kits with monthly themes and Made in Italy products

The Kora Club is the subscription project designed by Myak to offer their customers more than just a set of yarns. It is a real experience in the world of Tibetan fibers that inspires to work and meditate together, but also to discover and support many of the local realities that have made the Made in Italy a concept loved all over the world. Each kit is accompanied, in fact, by an all-Italian surprise.

How does it work? Each Kora Club member receives three different types of yarns, one of which is completely random, as well as special products all Made in Italy, from gastronomy to beauty products, produced by our local artisans. This is a way to involve customers in a project that not only involves knitting, but also meditation and reflection, awareness and discovery of the realities of the Italian territory.

It is not surprising that a reality as attentive to sustainability as Myak has chosen iGreen Gadgets as a partner for its subscription boxes.
