iGreen & Cadlog – From Electronic Forest to the eco-friendly pen

What can a leading company in the technology sector and the most prominent voice of eco-sustainable communication do together? They design a plantable pen, of course! Well, maybe it’s not that obvious, but that’s exactly what happened. Cadlog chose iGreen to support their three events held in the spring of 2022, designing a gift for customers and visitors to highlight the company’s commitment in the eco-sustainability sector, the true backbone of its vision.

Cadlog: Supporting innovation in the electronics industry in Europe…

In the case of Cadlog, the definition ‘Technological Partner of the Electronics Industry in Europe’ is almost an understatement. It is in fact the largest European distributor of software for electronic design, simulation and production, i.e. the largest corporate partner for each phase of a production process.
And it is no coincidence that a technology giant like Siemens has chosen Cadlog among its Expert Partners, a group of high-profile companies that offer the most advanced solutions and tools in the 4.0 Industry and Smart Manufacturing for the Digital Enterprise. Among the key points of the Cadlog philosophy there is, in fact, an idea of innovation at 360 degrees, constantly devoted to the future.

And it is precisely by orientating towards the future that Cadlog has long understood how diversity and integration, the mix of cultures and experiences, and the enhancement of the ecosystem are key concepts that impact on how competitive companies can be. Cadlog, extending the company’s responsibility not only to business, but also to an active role in society, has been involved for years in numerous projects in favor of environmental and human sustainability.
Among their most interesting projects, Electronic Forest certainly stands out. It started when the company decided to plant 1,300 cocoa trees in Cameroon – one for each existing customer – and to add a new tree for each new customer. An initiative that has a concrete impact on the well-being of the ecosystem, and it is also accompanied by a good amount of good luck! In addition to reforestation, Cadlog is also involved in projects to support women’s education, the repopulation of bees, and to support refugees forced to flee to Northern Greece. A 360-degree work, which shows how the company has an overall and at the same time profound vision of sustainability, in which humankind and nature can only walk together.

Focus on PCB is the first of the three events in which Cadlog decided to collaborate with iGreen to involve and raise awareness in customers and visitors. The main Italian fair – and one of the main European events – dedicated to the world of PCBs and PCBA in the B2B sector, was therefore the first opportunity to communicate corporate values not only in the name of technological innovation, but also of sustainability.
All thanks to the customization of the innovative plantable pen, the eco-friendly pen with an integrated seed capsule in one of the two ends. This means it can be planted to sprout to colorful flowers, aromatic herbs and much more.
