Officially certified in 2019 by the Guinness World Record as the world’s largest regatta, Trieste’s Barcolana never fails to attract the attention of sailing and non-sailing enthusiasts, offering a magnificent example of what the sea can represent for the life of a city: oxygen, sustenance, sport and tradition.
A showcase that can’t be missed and sustainability is discussed in all of its aspects: environmental, social and economic. This was the focal theme of the round table organized by the Coast Guard and Whynery and chaired by the Minister Patuanelli of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. An event to which iGreenGadget has given its contribution with the invitations in plantable paper and its original Acqua in Brick.
Together for the protection of a common value: the Friends of the Sea in Trieste
Attention to the environmental impact of production processes, but also a conscious use of resources, renewable energies and respect for seasonality in fishing. Also in agriculture, safe navigation and responsibility in recovering and taking care of injured animals. But that’s not all: respect for the rules, especially for those sea products under environmental protection, circularity in catering and the use of compostable and biodegradable materials.
This is the manifesto of the Friends of the Sea in Trieste, an initiative that involves companies in the Italian territory engaged in the concentration of environmentally sustainable policies, under the patronage of the Italian Coast Guard. Together to support those economic realities that, in return, support the ecosystem, embracing a dynamic concept of sustainability that does not oppose the environment to the needs of production but, on the contrary, involves economic and social aspects.
Invitations on plantable paper and Acqua in Brick (water in compostable container ) for an all-green round table
This theme was the focus of the round table organized by the Coast Guard and Whynery and chaired by the Minister for Agricultural Policies Stefano Patuanelli. An opportunity to take stock of what has been done, what is being done and above all, what still needs to be done to ensure that the marine ecosystem – but not only – becomes once again a resource to be protected and to be approached with awareness.
A round table in which iGreenGadgets participated by customizing the invitations in Plantable Paper and its Acqua in Brick (water in compostable container) defining them as “Amici del Mare” (Friends of the Sea). On the one hand, a special paper made with seeds inside: just put it in a vase or plant it in the garden and you will see it sprout within a few weeks. On the other hand, bricks made of a special cardboard coming from FSC certified forests. A material that guarantees an excellent level of protection from light and heat, thus limiting the use of plastic bottles.
