#GrowPoetry with Giorgia Soleri and the iGreen plantable cards
Grow poetry, but also make the flower of activism blossom, thanks to Giorgia Soleri and her collection of poems, evocatively entitled “La Signorina Nessuno” (Miss Nobody). This was a challenge that Vallardi Editore has been able to meet, supporting the author in the decision to make her work one more opportunity to raise awareness on the many issues to which Giorgia Soleri has always and concretely brought to attention.
iGreen was involved for the personalization of one of the most beloved gadgets: cards in plantable paper, the special paper with integrated seeds, which just needs to be planted and watered to see seedlings sprout and become colorful wildflowers or fragrant aromatic herbs, personalized by iGreen Gadgets to accompany any type of eco-sustainable communication campaign.
Vallardi Editore and Miss Nobody – Deep roots, looking at the future
Perhaps not everyone knows it, but Vallardi Editore was founded as far back as 1750! Anticipating what would later be the Milan cultural trend that would explode with the Verri brothers’ Caffè, the publishing house soon became a real cultural hotspot, attracting the best minds of the time.
This innovative mentality and tendency to anticipate the times accompanied Vallardi up to the present day, with the publication of the book of poems “La Signorina Nessuno”. Giorgia Soleri is an activist – but also a model, a photographer, and obviously an author – engaged on several fronts. She has been able to use her popularity to lead awareness campaigns on topics ranging from the environment to women’s rights. A woman for women, who transformed her personal experience into a battle for the common good, and who put all her experience into her verses which later became the collection of poems and prose “La Signorina Nessuno”.
The noise of growing flowers – A silence that screams like a distorted guitar
Verses that speak of the art of waiting, of long-distance desire, of the female body, pain, loss, loves carried out in silence, and daily battles in which anyone, and especially every woman, can recognize herself. But also of bonds between human beings, and of the constant dualism between passion and despair, desire and defeat. And, in the background, a bright hope. It is precisely in light of that hope that readers can understand the author’s choice to make her work an opportunity for sharing, taking readers on a journey not only through her experience, but also through her present. A present made above all of attention to women and to the environment.
Growing poetry: Miss Nobody’s social initiative
Faithful to her time, Giorgia Soleri meant her book “La Signorina Nessuno” to be shared and to create a community. This is an original and fun idea to push readers to make active use of the emotions that accompany reading the book. In fact, it is possible to share one’s reading by posting a photo of the book on social media, using the hashtag #faicrescerelapoesia and tagging @giorgiasoleri_ and @vallardi_editore.
