The Maker Faire, set at the Nuova Fiera in Rome and now in its sixth edition, represented the perfect opportunity to bring the eco-friendly, original and innovative iGreenGadgets products to an even larger public.
Born in the United States as a large-scale program to share technologies and introduce new projects, the Maker Faire soon became an event that combines science and magic, sci-fi and technology, and that gives life to a real and proper fair, highlighting the fun and pleasure of discovery. Not only professionals, but also amateur enthusiasts can come into contact with the inventions presented and experience firsthand the thrill of being catapulted into the future. Thanks to Maker Faire innovation becomes tangible, and even the most incredible inventions become part of everyday life.
iGreen Gadgets joined the event from October 11 to 14 with a dedicated stand, and featuring all the eco-friendly gadgets that represent the heart of our sustainability philosophy: from the Sprout® Pencil to cardboard furniture, to Flowers in a Can. We had the pleasure of sharing our values with the public and of demonstrating how it is possible to educate people to environmental protection even just with day-to-day- activities, such as planting an Eko Bookmark, or recycling eco-sustainable wedding invitations after reading them. This is our mission and our pride, and we are happy to share them with those who are interested in our products, whether they want to distribute them to their customers as a corporate gift or give them to friends and relatives, or use them in special occasions such as weddings and birthdays.
The visitors of our stand could see and discover our most popular gadgets, such as the Plantable Sprout® Pencil, which sprouts and grows different varieties of flowers and plants, the Cardboard Trolleys, completely made of recycled materials, the Flowers in a Can, that allow you to grow a plant in the smallest of spaces choosing among over 50 varieties of herbs and flowers, and many other gadgets such as business cards, bookmarks, invitations, and calendars in plantable paper containing actual seeds. This is the perfect way to intrigue the public and spread our message of respect and love for nature, catching the attention of children as well while getting them used to considering the environment as something to be actively protected.
The event featured many and interviews with experts as well as some precious moments, such as a small concert performed with musical instruments made of exclusively recycled materials: a performance that the public loved and that showed, once again, how spreading eco-sustainability values can also involve the language of entertainment, engaging visitors in a fun and educational way.
Our participation at the Maker Faire represented a small step in favor of a cleaner and more protected world, and this – we are sure – will be followed by many other equally important steps, until our goals will be reached.
