Isokinetic: A Leading Medical Group in Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Isokinetic is a leading Medical Group in the field of sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation, recognized as a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. Its history began in Bologna in 1987 when Stefano Della Villa, a young physiatrist, decided to open the first small clinic with Dr. Gianni Nanni. Today, nearly forty years after that idea, over 200 employees and collaborators work every day in nine centers (eight physical locations in Italy and the UK, and an online clinic) dedicated to patients’ health and their full return to physical form.
A Medical Group with a Green Thumb
In the newly inaugurated Isokinetic Campus, the company’s cultural ecosystem, the green spaces have been revitalized thanks to a project that took eight months of work. Over seven thousand square meters where 55 trees and 3,805 plants, flowers, and shrubs were planted. The professional life of Isokinetic employees is more harmonious when immersed in nature: that’s why Isokinetic has been investing for years in concrete ecological actions. The Group’s responsibility is not only towards the psychophysical well-being of individuals but also towards the environment, which is the first to welcome people. A daily commitment that materializes in the protection of green spaces, monitoring energy consumption and emissions, and fighting waste and plastic.
Energy Efficiency Always in Focus
Currently, Isokinetic uses natural gas, electricity, and, to a lesser extent, LPG as energy vectors for the daily operations. As shown in the latest sustainability report, energy consumption decreased by 24% between 2022 and 2023. The electricity consumption of the Group also dropped (-6.9%) thanks to the efficiency upgrades in lighting systems, achieved by replacing halogen bulbs with LED lights. At the Isokinetic Turin location, the efficiency improvements were made possible by the installation of a temperature regulation system for the premises.
Plastic? No, Thanks!
For Isokinetic, water is more than just a vital element, as it helps hydrate and support patients while they exercise to regain their fitness. Water dispensers connected to the water supply are available in waiting rooms and during rehabilitation activities, and carton bricks are used to distribute water at institutional events. This allows the Group to move towards the complete elimination of plastic bottles, further supported by the distribution of stainless steel thermal water bottles to employees.
